Welcome to my website. My name is Paul Colley and I am based in Cardiff and Manchester. I work as a freelance Lighting and Set designer specialising in Drama and New Work, as well as Project Manager for all types of events, festivals and productions.

I have created over 100 original lighting and 10 scenic designs around the UK and abroad. I have been nominated for 6 M.E.N Best Design awards and won 3 for my interpretations of " The Birthday Party " " Vurt " and " The Merchant of Venice ".

As Production Manager, I was responsible for the smooth running of the  2005 Xtrax/Decibel Festival of Black and Asian New Work across the City of Manchester. 

Earlier in my career I ran the electrical departments of The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff and The Library and Contact Theatres , Manchester. I have also toured with DV8 and Riverdance and re-lit other designers work on the road.

I have put together this website as a temporary archive/scrapbook containing photos of productions I have designed over the years. There are several more to add from my portfolio. Please feel free to browse.
